A custom wine accessory set puts a stopper, a pourer and sometimes opening tools into one branded box. Before you choose pieces or finishes, decide where the set will be used: a gift with purchase, a retail gift box, or a tasting room. For boutique wineries and spirits groups, the sets we make are mostly 2- or 3-piece, and the typical 2-piece is a heavyweight metal stopper with an aerating pourer in a specialty-paper rigid lid-and-base box. What these buyers check most is that the plated color matches across every metal piece in the box.
The use case sets the piece count and the packaging, so settle it first and choose materials and finishes after.
| Use Case | Piece Count | Typical Combination | Packaging |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gift with purchase | 1-piece or 2-piece | Wine stopper, or wine stopper + pourer | Neck hanger box or clear window color box |
| Retail gift box | Mostly 2-piece or 3-piece | Heavyweight metal wine stopper + aerating pourer (typical 2-piece) | Specialty-paper rigid lid-and-base box |
| Tasting room retail | 2-piece or 3-piece | Heavyweight metal set | Foil-stamped specialty-paper magnetic box + odorless high-density flocked EVA insert |
The table reflects sets we have made. Put the use case on your first RFQ, so the box structure and piece count are fixed before you choose base metals or surface finishes.

Each piece in a set does one job:
* Wine stopper: A wine stopper seals an opened bottle with a flexible seal that sits in the neck below a solid head. Our Sphere Zinc Alloy Wine Stopper (EB-BT06) is zinc alloy and measures 9 × 2 cm, with color, logo and packaging customizable. * Wine pourer: A standard pourer sits in the bottle neck and controls the flow into the glass; an aerating pourer also draws air into the wine as it pours. Our Stainless Steel Wine Pourer (EB-BT80) is a standard pourer in 304 stainless steel, 11 cm long, with color, logo and packaging customizable. * Wine pourer disc: A pourer disc is a thin, flexible disc that you roll into a spout and slide into the bottle neck, so the wine pours without dripping. Our Wine Pourer Disc takes custom colors, logos and packaging. * Corkscrew and 5-piece stainless steel set: A corkscrew pulls the cork. For a full opening-and-serving kit in stainless steel, our Five-Piece Stainless Steel Wine Tool Set includes a corkscrew, a drip ring, a foil cutter, a wine stopper and a wine pourer.

You can pick stoppers and pourers from our custom wine stoppers and pourers range and opening tools from our custom corkscrews and bar accessories range.
A custom wine stopper has two parts to specify: the metal head and the seal that goes into the bottle neck.
For the head:
* Die-cast zinc alloy: We die-cast our zinc alloy stopper heads by hot-chamber die casting. A standard head is hollow or cored and weighs typically about 30–50 g. The Sphere stopper (EB-BT06) is made this way. * 304 stainless steel: For an all-stainless set, the 5-piece wine tool set includes a stainless steel stopper that matches the corkscrew, drip ring, foil cutter and pourer.
For the seal, we offer food-grade silicone, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), natural cork and synthetic cork:
* Food-grade silicone: We usually recommend it for mid-to-high-end retail sets and premium stainless steel stoppers. * TPE: We use it for high-volume gift-with-purchase sets and supermarket promotional pourers. * Natural cork: We usually recommend it for T-top stoppers on original whiskey or brandy bottles and for vintage-style stoppers at wineries with an organic or traditional image. * Synthetic cork: We use it for high-volume T-top stoppers for modern distilleries and for heavyweight metal custom stoppers for tequila, vodka or gin.
Put both the head material and the seal material on your specification sheet.
In the sets we have made for boutique wineries and spirits groups, a plated color that matches from piece to piece is what buyers check most closely.
When a box pairs a die-cast zinc alloy stopper with a 304 stainless steel pourer, the two metals are prepared for plating differently. In an expert answer on Finishing.com, Don Baudrand notes that zinc die castings tend to be porous and need special treatment before plating. Products Finishing explains that zinc die-cast parts need a diffusion barrier layer, typically a copper strike, before the final plate goes on. Stainless steel goes through a different preparation, so the same color is run on each base metal separately and then matched across all the metal pieces in the box.
For stoppers and pourers we offer these finish categories; which one a given piece can take is confirmed by style:
* Mechanical polishing * Electroplating and coating * PVD vacuum ion plating * Spray coating, baked varnish and powder coating
For plated colors such as gold, copper or black, we can quote both standard electroplating and PVD. PVD costs more, and fewer buyers choose it.

For keeping finishes aligned across a wider product line, see our guide on keeping finishes consistent across a custom barware collection.
Before shipment, we check stainless steel and plated products with a 304 reagent drop test (to see whether the metal discolors) and a salt spray test. When a project has strict technical requirements, results are verified by third-party testing to the buyer's specification.
The logo can go on each metal piece and on the box:
* Stopper: on the top of the stopper head. * Pourer: on the body of the pourer. * Pourer disc: on the flat face of the disc. * Box: on the lid of the white box, color box, rigid box or magnetic box.
For stoppers and pourers, we apply logos with these process categories; which piece can use which process is confirmed by style:
* Surface removal and printing methods * Molded 3D relief, such as stamping * Color filling and epoxy dome * Inlay of a different material
Send vector artwork with the logo position and size marked for each piece, and we will confirm the method for each style. For a closer comparison of marking options, read which logo method works best for custom barware.
Ordered on their own, the stopper ships in a white or color box, the pourer in a PE bag and the disc in a white box, and each can take custom packaging. For sets, the box follows the channel:
* Gift with purchase: a 1-piece stopper or a 2-piece stopper-and-pourer set goes in a neck hanger box or a clear window color box. * Retail gift box: the 2- and 3-piece sets we have made for boutique wineries and spirits groups go in a specialty-paper rigid lid-and-base box. * Tasting room retail: 2- or 3-piece heavyweight metal sets go in a foil-stamped specialty-paper magnetic box with an odorless high-density flocked EVA insert.
For inserts, the options are high-density EVA foam, high-resilience sponge or PU foam, folded card, flocked blister and molded pulp. Whichever you choose, the insert is cut or molded to the shape of each piece so nothing moves in the box.
Before you approve bulk production, I recommend testing the complete sample set with your own bottles and the final box:
* Fit and pour on your own bottles: use the bottles your brand actually sells to check how tightly the stopper seals and how the pourer goes in, comes out and pours. * Color match in the final box: put every plated zinc and stainless steel piece into the final box together, compare the color side by side, and check how each piece sits in the insert. * Shipment tests: we run the 304 reagent drop test and salt spray test as standard; tell us at the sample stage if your project needs third-party testing.

If your range also includes bar tools, see our guide to custom cocktail shaker sets.
To start a set, send your bottles, piece list, logo files, finish color and box idea to our OEM and customization team, and we will make a sample set for you to approve on bottle fit and color match.
