There are differentopinions on the origin of martinis. Some say it evolved from the late 1880s, when customers would order martinis at the eponymous San Francisco hotel before taking the ferry to San Francisco. Another story suggests that the martini was likely named after an Italian brand of absinthe.

Back then, ingredients like "gin and martini" were mixed together to make a popular alcoholic drink that changed over time in proportions but the name stayed.

Materials:

Ice cubes, 1 ounce gin, 1/4 ounce absinthe, lemon zest

How to do:

1. Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.
